Laminated shingles normally come in 30, 40, and 50 year varieties--the number corresponds to the length of warranty offered by the manufacturer. These shingles are made from 2 separate layers, bonded together with adhesive, and are designed to have a dimensional appearance.
Laminated shingles are available as “algae resistant” to protect against algae staining.
